About me

Location Marlborough, New Hampshire, and Beijing, China
Introduction I live rural New Hampshire with my family, in a house built in 1795. Current fiber interests include: the Japanese arts of shibori and sashiko; functional and art quilting, doll and bird-making. I have an interdisciplinary studies PhD in rhetoric, composition, and women’s studies; my dissertation focused on feminist pedagogy, creative process, and spirituality. After 12 years of teaching English, writing, and women’s and gender studies at a state college, I will be on a leave of absence 2011-12, spending most of my time traveling, researching, and teaching in Beijing, China.
