| Introduction | Even today in our much more tolerant and informed society, the general public's awareness of people with disabilities is in some cases still very limited. Those who are in a wheelchair are often overlooked and the phrase 'Does he take sugar' illustrates the fact that it is often the carer who is seen, not the disabled person. Although based on real life, the aim of this blog is to create a general picture of how those with a disability yearn to be treated as any other human being. Yes, some of us do take sugar in our tea, why not just ask us! |
