| Introduction | I live in the Hamline-Midway neighborhood of St. Paul, MN with my husband and two children. There used to be a school near my house called Skills For Tomorrow, a phrase that makes me think of the kinds of skills I think are going to be important for a healthier future--skills like growing more of my own food, canning produce, sewing and knitting, and getting along with my neighbors, as well as skills like being able to do more of my errands on bike and fewer in my big honking minivan. Along with documenting my quest to be more energy-efficient now, this blog will chronicle my fumbling attempts to learn some good old-fashioned, absolutely essential skills for tomorrow.
