Introduction It is possible that the vacant post-foreclosure house is THE artistic medium of the early 21st Century. Standing idle, these former manifestations of the American Dream are now icons of a brief period of our collective history where debt and overextension became a palatable alternative to self-reliance and prudence. What must occur to re-invigorate whole neighborhoods that have fallen victim to this economic crisis? What can we do as artists that might act as a catalyst: a new way of perceiving and utilizing this and the myriad of houses in the same situation in this Atlanta neighborhood, Atlanta as a whole and the rest of the Country at large.
