| Introduction | Hi, my name is Kris. I am a graduate student and full-time middle school teacher currently completing a Master of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership at the University of Regina, with plans to graduate this June. I am currently teaching in Omaha, Nebraska, balancing professional practice with graduate studies. Previously, I worked in education for nine years in Macao and two years in Hong Kong. These international experiences shaped my belief that education builds individual capacity and helps learners reach possibilities beyond imagination. |
| Interests | Outside of work, I spend my time traveling, enjoying outdoor activities, and practicing photography. Having visited over 30 countries, my goal is to explore 50—or even 100—more by the time I reach 50. As a member of the Filipino World Travelers group, I am inspired to visit places not just for sightseeing, but for deeper learning—about cultures, ways of life, and perspectives that are often eye-opening and transformative. Hiking mountains is one of my favorite ways to unwind. The physical challenge and sense of accomplishment remind me to slow down, breathe, and stay grounded. Through photography, I document my travels and outdoor adventures. While I don’t often share my photos publicly, I keep them in albums as personal reminders of growth, courage, and moments when I pushed myself beyond comfort. Looking back at these images, I quietly tell myself: I did it—and I’m still becoming. |
