| Introduction | This is my 20th year at Little Rock. I am married to Dan Barkel, who is also beginning his 20th year at Western Christian. This year he will be assuming the duties of principal. We have three children: Rachel, 23, is a graduate student at the University of Minnesoata Duluth in opera performance. Joel, 20, is a junior studying english/secondary education at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Luke, 15, is a sophomore this year at Western Christian. My hobbies are cheering on my kids in any way possible, teaching my second graders, reading, music, and scrapbooking. |
