| Interests | The ocean, horses and concomitant horse stuff, rooms with surprisingly good acoustics, gardening from seed to food, reading, writing, lighthouses, acceptance, hot showers, unplanned gatherings, clouds, hawks, petting a sleeping cat and watching them streeeetch but not wake up, laughing to the point of incontinence, enjoying orthostatic hypotension instead of complaining about it, jeeps, tonic chords, the Big Bang Theory (to wit: things that make a "big bang" are fun), explanations that you will always remember, google-stalking ("Whatever happened to...."), the color green, barbeques, comfortable backpacks, collecting seeds and starter plants from groceries to grow in my garden (biggest success: green onions), baking, encouragement, seeing strangers love each other in little ways, being loved in little ways, back scratches, REALLY good vacuum cleaners, giving away "fat" clothes, outdoor fireplaces, being understood for what my heart means even when I don't say it well, good hair days, coffee, watching people eat the things I cook, clean bathrooms, things that don't match, surprises, the whisper silence after fresh snowfall, epiphanies, dogs that obey, sniffy hand lotions, the smell of my horses' breath and his fur in the sunshine, new windshield wiper blades, lonely roads, cold water, new friends that feel like old friends, doppler radar, paint, strangers who smile, the clunk the polo ball makes after a perfect hit, charged batteries, California poppies, first kisses that become thirtieth kisses without stopping, crazy people who kind of have a point, warm feet, secret stairways, fast typing, being underestimated. |
