| Introduction | Hello, my name is Emily and I am a teacher in Bloomington, Indiana. I have just started my fifth year as a teacher. This year I am teaching full day kindergarten and am excited about the possibilities! I will graduate with my master’s degree in Literacy, Language, and Culture in June. I spent part of last summer becoming a certified trainer in the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. I received a grant to implement Steven Covey’s leadership model titled, The Leader in Me in my school. This grant and the experiences it has offered have convinced me to complete the course work for my administrator's license next. I have been married to my husband, Greg, for two years. In my time away from school we enjoy bike riding and playing with our dog. Traveling is something that we both enjoy, but we have found that our vacations have been dictated by weddings since our own wedding. Those travels have taken us to China, Mongolia, Tennessee, Washington D.C., and Las Vegas. I also truly enjoy knitting, reading, cooking, and volunteering my time with a student group I sponsor called K-Kids. |
