Introduction	I am a Calgarian/Torontonian who works in publishing and am in the midst of a mid-twenties crisis. I packed up my life into two suitcases and am fleeing to Aberdeen, Scotland. My mom told me, “Emily, you can’t move to Scotland on a wing and a prayer! The cost of living is too high there.” In my best Braveheart moment I replied; “Mother, the cost of not living is higher.” She still thinks I’m crazy.
