| Introduction | Annie and Liam gave up the corporate world for a life of adventure. We said goodbye to family and friends and sailed through Sydney Heads on April 27th 2006 to cruise the east coast and over the top to Darwin. Here we joined the "Sail Indonesia Rally". Along with 100 cruising boats we spent the next five months visiting the islands of Indonesia, Singapore and Malayisia arriving into Thailand in December 2006. We spent just over one year cruising the idyllic waters and bays around Phuket in southern Thailand. Feb 2008 saw us head west across the Indian Ocean to The Maldives.Oman and Yeman. Then it was on to the countries that border The Red Sea... Eritrea, Sudan and Egypt. After entering the Mediterranean Sea in June 2008 we have spent two years cruising Israel,Cyprus,Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Monaco,France, Spain,and Gibralter. On October 19th 2010 we bid the Med farewell and sailed through The Straits of Gibralter,into the North Atlantic ocean and down the African coast to Rabat in Morroco. It is now late November and we are in the Canary Islands preparing for our 2800 mile passage across the Atlantic ocean. |
