| Introduction | When I have the time I may throw some clay on the wheel and make a jug or two. It is a relaxing'hobby'. You may think different about your hobby, but this brings me down to appreciate the sounds around. Ever hear a cricket or bird finish their songs? Peaceful....is what I feel. Sounds of the potter wheel turning, Alabama breezes, and the elements of nature are the music enjoyed while throwing my Jugs. I never thought I would have enjoyed throwing pottery as much as I do. If I had I would have started 20 years ago. Please enjoy some of the things I enjoy making. I remember reading and listening about some of the 'ole time potters' speaking of the Jugs and animals having a personality of their own. After making a few jugs I know exactly what the connections to the jugs they had. I will never be in the ranks with the 'ole timers' but I do know what they felt....and hope I keep right on feeling it. * Thanks for your interest. |
