Introduction	I'm basically a stay-at-home person. I love to watch birds from the picture window in my kitchen and keep a pair of binoculars on a hook near the dining table. I love lying on the grass in the summer and watching the hawks circling overhead. Making good food for friends and family is always a pleasure. I hike, not as much as I did when I was younger and the trails I follow aren't as steep, but I still get out in the woods near my home for a couple of hours a few days a week. Because my sense of direction is so bad, I always take my sheepdog with me and he makes sure I don't get off the trails.
Interests	nature, bird watching, wild flowers, flower gardening, cooking, baking
Favorite movies	Romantic comedies, both the old black and whites from the 30's and the newer ones like P.S. I Love You, Must Love Dogs, Moonstruck, and Delancey Street.
Favorite music	Soft rock from the 60's to the 80's. I don't listen to music very much.
Favorite books	Isabel's Bed, The History of Love, The Poisonwood Bible, and anything by Alice Hoffman and Ann Tyler and books about dogs
