Introduction	Hello! My name is Desiree Nordstrand, I am a fifth year student at Grand Valley pursuing my bachelors degree in Art Education. My hometown is Mackinac Island, Michigan, where my heart lies and where I gain so much inspiration for every aspect in my life, from its sheer beauty and lifestyle. I find that no matter how much schooling I receive, I continue to gain a deeper understanding of the art of teaching while molding my own foundations and belief systems. I have learned that each individual, whether teachers, students, or friends on the journey of art education, has something to encourage, inspire, or ignite a new idea you never may of thought of before.
