About me

Gender Female
Location Michigan, United States
Introduction My name is Heather. I'm 33 years old and on August 21, 2013, I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia in the chronic stage. Since then, I've gone through nearly six years of chemo pills that have unfortunately been toxic to my liver. I'm now pursuing a bone marrow transplant that I expect to undergo in June 2019. I live in Michigan in the same home as my parents and brother, as well as three Golden Retrievers who I consider my four-legged caregivers. I'm also an avid reader and book blogger, though my blog is admittedly a little rusty and in need of some TLC. You can find it at www.heatherheartsbooks.com. I love coffee, travel, Detroit baseball and hockey, Marvel movies, Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl, baking, autumn, Halloween, art of any kind (painting, drawing, pastels, etc.), hand lettering, graphic design, coloring, knitting, and cooking.

What's the most amount of sand you've ever had in your swimming trunks?

Well, I don't know about sand in my bathing suit. However, I did grow up going to a Girl Scout camp every summer for 7-8 weeks where there was an honest to God swamp that we went "swamp stomping" in as often as we could. I've come out of it completely covered in swamp mud and water head-to-toe. And those clothes got thrown out.
