| Favorite books | My absolute sentimental favorite is The Phantom Tollbooth by Norman Juster. I've had a copy since I was 6, and it was the first 'chapter book' I read. It's absolutely filled with puns, metaphors and cutsie-adventure, and that's what makes it terrific. It's become my first anual read aloud in class. I have also loved: Sphere, by Michael Crichton... Contact, by Carl Sagan... The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger... Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, by Robert M. Pirsig. Amongst many, many others. |
