Introduction"I'm primarily an Irish/German woman with neo-American culture bred in my blood; I am the Americanized 21st Century girl. I live, breathe and love adventure, thought, progression, humor and all of the components that go with these ideals; I value change, drive, and equality. How Nick deals with my everpresent sarcastic optimism, I'll never know...he is the most patient man I've ever met. I teach 5th grade at a public elementary school. I love my job and everything and everyone that it entails. I love blues and greens; I feel that they speak the loudest for me. I love travel, for the sights and the sounds - basically how it makes every fiber of my being wake up and stand at attention to welcome new thoughts, new experiences, new ways of being." - my trite way of revealing bits of myself, and until I have more time this will have to do.

Favorite booksMy absolute sentimental favorite is The Phantom Tollbooth by Norman Juster. I've had a copy since I was 6, and it was the first 'chapter book' I read. It's absolutely filled with puns, metaphors and cutsie-adventure, and that's what makes it terrific. It's become my first anual read aloud in class. I have also loved: Sphere, by Michael Crichton... Contact, by Carl Sagan... The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger... Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, by Robert M. Pirsig. Amongst many, many others.

How do you pronounce the 'g' in bologna?

Like you pronounce the 'rad' in Beradck. It's silent, but it's there.
