| Introduction | After almost three years of almost-daily food-themed goop-on-canvas paintings for pilgrim's breakfast, I've moved. My day job as a food stylist has evolved from part-time to constant, keeping me away from my paints - often hundreds of miles away. And tubes of acrylic don't travel well, not in a carry-on at least. pelerine is a collection of digital paintings that I make on my ipad from anywhere and at any time. Although it is brand-new, I hope to post every day. And further, I'm thinking that these will lead to some wonderfully messy, smelly, oil-on-canvas painting-paintings later on, if and when things have cooled a bit and I get to spend more time in my wonderful Fishtown home with my beautiful husband and silly cat. We'll see. Here goes! |
