About me

Industry Arts
Occupation novelist, retired
Introduction Once upon a time I was an obscure science fiction, fantasy, and mystery writer; and I've been an editor, artist, graphic artist, jewelry maker, photographer, landscape gardener, quilter, cross stitcher, and a bunch of other things even less interesting.

All of that was fun, one way or another, and I still occasionally do some of it, though usually not for money anymore. Mostly now I just play World of Warcraft and quilt too much. The quilting is self-explanatory. Oddly, WoW also appeases some of the same needs all those more creative pursuits did, which is only one of many things about it that fascinate me. (If I'm not careful it may drive me to write again some day, but so far I've successfully resisted the impulse.)

For those who want more personal information: I'm a proud parent, grandma, and great-grandma. I live near the Atlantic and miss the Pacific. I'm Theravada Buddhist. My political views, though they have not particularly changed since they were called Centrist or "moderate," appear now to be surprisingly Liberal. My husband and I share our home with too many computers and a bossy feline called Lulu.
