| Introduction | An auto-didact, I've worked variously as a music store manager (Disc Records), graphic artist (Venus Arts, Artisan Typesetting, Rubber Type Service), loss prevention manager (Target), magazine writer (Ziff-Davis Publishing), and delivery driver (Ito & Koby Dental Lab). These days, I'm done with all that and am retired. I've lived in Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Arizona and Florida. Although born in Ohio, I consider Indianapolis, Indiana to be my hometown, since that's where I've spent the greater part of my life. My main interest these days is genealogy - I've been working on that for nearly 20 years and have over 100,000 ancestors and relatives in my database. I spend 3 or 4 hours a day rummaging through Census and birth and death records and grave registration sites.I'd probably hate it if I had to do this kind of work for a living, but as a hobby I enjoy it quite a bit. |
