| Introduction | Hi! I’m Eduardo Velasco Jr, 20 years old.. I’m an alumnus of Gordon College. I took Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English. It was quite challenging but totally unexplainable because you would deal with students with different attitudes and intelligences. You would get along with them,impart what u know and make them functional individuals in our society.. At first, honestly, I didn’t really like to take education. why?? Simply because I didn’t want to teach!!. I couldn’t imagine myself going in front and saying what I know. I couldn’t imagine myself making lesson plans, visual aids and erasing writings on the board. Suddenly, I realized that teaching is not a profession that you’ll just despise nor ignore. Rather, it’s a noble profession that truly needs your heart and willingness. Yes! My whole being. Do you know why I’m entirely transformed when it comes to my views towards education?? Plainly because I experienced being a teacher. I experienced how to handle a class and to properly manage all aspects of the classroom. You will never know the significant role of teaching if you haven't experienced it yourself. |
