My blogs
| Introduction | When I moved to Vancouver, BC, from the midwestern U.S., my friends and neighbors kept asking, "Do you like to fish?" (That's pronounced "feesh" in my old neck of the woods.) No, I don't fish, although I used to. I also used to teach. Now I write full time. No, I did not keep my day job. Now writing IS my day job, and a good job it is. No pay, no benefits, but a lot of freedom. And I don't have to get dressed to go to work. I've had four books published: "Waiting for Spring," which I like to call my cheaply produced chapbook of flawed and highly depressing poems, "Stone Pillars, A Book of Poetry," a collection of poems, "Four from Wishes," a collection of speculative short stories, and my first novel, a science fiction adventure, "Counterfeit World." I started this blog when I started my second novel. Since then, I've written a raft of poems (yes, poems come in rafts, just as lions come in prides and crows in murders), several short stories, and two novellas. Talk about avoiding the project I say I'm working on! Now I'm ready to get focused. Yes, that's me, FOCUSED. Second novel coming right up. |
