| Introduction | Welcome to the AASH Past President’s Blog! My name is Maureen Elizabeth Ryan and I am a graduate of Barat College - Lake Forest, IL. I served on the Associated Alumnae & Alumni of the Sacred Heart Board since 2003 in many capacities and was elected President, serving from June 1, 2011 - May 31, 2013. I enjoy writing about all things relative to the Society of the Sacred Heart. My Sacred Heart education began in 1979 when I decided as a junior to transfer from a large community college to Barat College in Lake Forest, IL. I fell in love with the rich history and traditions of the college. I have a deep respect for the RSCJ, those who lived in my dorm and those who taught me and the many I have come to know world-wide. Since my graduation in 1981, I served on the BCAA board and the Barat College Board of Trustees. I currently serve on the Barat Education Foundation board and for many years served on the Chicago Women’s District Golf Association. My three loves are gardening, golf and genealogy!
