Introduction | I earned my PhD in English and American literature from Boston University in May 2019, and in Fall 2019 will begin a three-year lectureship in Harvard University's degree-awarding program in History and Literature. My researches focuses on the intersections of science and literature in the twentieth century, and how scientific concepts, theories, and practices impact aesthetic strategies. I am particularly interested in the evolution of complex sciences after World War II, and the interactions between science and experimental fiction. Finally, I examine the relationship between genre fiction (mainly sci-fi and horror) and literary writing (mainly the novel), as well as the impact of science fiction on popular culture at large. |
