| Introduction | I once was a football player who grew up to become a scientist and chemistry/physics professor. Life happens -- sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse, but what counts is how we adapt and adjust to life's events and changes. I now work as a writer, educational research consultant, and disability advocate from my home in New Jersey. I write about various issues in sports, science, politics, health care, and education, in order to inspire deep thinking. I've authored TEACHER TRAINING: A REFERENCE HANDBOOK (2001, ABC-CLIO), PHILOSOPHY OF "PACKER" PEDAGOGY: VINCE LOMBARDI, CRITICAL THINKING, AND PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING (2011, Lulu), and am soon to release ADAPTING IN AN INADAPTABLE WORLD (2013, Lulu) as well as REPORTING FROM BEYOND THE CHEAP SEATS (2013, Lulu). |
