| Introduction | In 2004, I had decided to take some singing lessons at a music school. Little did I know that part of my voice instructor's curriculum was making us sing karaoke in front of a room full of complete strangers! Fearful and apprehensive but wanting badly to sing out loud, I volunteered to sing. And guess what? I didn't totally suck as much as I thought it would. From that moment, I was completely hooked on singing. Forward six years and now I love singing and Karaoke so much that in March 2010 I decided to start writing about it. It is a fun job that hopefully will become the paying type of job, but for now it is a great way to work and play at the same time. Someday I hope to leave my IT career in the dust to write about Karaoke full time, at a Karaoke joint near you, wherever that may be. |
