| Introduction | I have recently retired from the workforce after thirty plus years in my last job. This newly found abundance of time has given me the chance to reconnect with some old interests. During my working years, I sewed infrequently, mainly clothing for special occasions, school costumes, Christmas and Easter dresses, prom dresses. Now I have started sewing for myself and the granddaughters, relearning old skills. Having discovered Pinterest since retirement, I love browsing the posts. There is so much information, ideas, recipes out there to see. There are more recipes out there than I will ever be able to try. |
| Interests | Cooking, sewing, gardening, canning and pickling. We also enjoy camping in our fifth-wheel with our grandkids. I love reading, especially during rainy or snowy weather. Cold rainy days are also great days for baking yeast breads and rolls. I enjoy working with the children's groups at Church and also help with cooking for the youth group meals as well. |
| Favorite movies | Sargent York, The Searchers, Big Jake, The Notebook, Men in Black. Favorite television shows are Andy Griffith reruns because the world was simpler, good and bad were clearly defined attributes. Favorite current television show is NCIS, because they always get the bad guys. |
| Favorite music | Creedance Clearwater Revival, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, some big band music, some bluegrass and country, some of the late sixties, early seventies rock and roll. |
| Favorite books | Gone With the Wind, all of the Tom Clancy books, Joel Rosenberg books, and last but not least, the Bible. |
Come up with some possible band names for your group that features a washboard and a styrofoam tuba.
I think that honeydew is the new money melon because as a hard rind melon, it keeps a little longer than cantaloupe.
