| Introduction | I am the proud mother of two beautiful boys, Benjamin and Noah, and am raising them with my dear teacher husband on the coast of Maine. Before I became a mother I was a teacher myself. For over twenty years I've enjoyed spending my time with infants through adolescents and teaching each one to tell her own story and to become lifelong learners. Now I am the student learning about raising a child with special needs, learning what it means to be an adoptive family, and learning to run a business with a background in education! Eight years ago I discovered a lovely independent publisher called Barefoot Books on a cross country road trip from California to Maine. Now I live in Maine and have created my own traveling bookstore offering Barefoot Book Fairs, storytimes, and more. I embrace the challenge of balancing all that I love in my life and learning from others along the way. I aspire to "Live Barefoot," taking time to see this crazy world through a child's eyes and enjoy each moment. My sons are my teachers. |
