Introduction I was trained as a school teacher at TTC & fine arts at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts SG. My works were exhibited at a National Day Arts Exhibition. Thereafter I became a design student at The London College of Fashion & Clothing Technology. Back in Singapore, I specialize in bespoke tailoring & costume making. My collections travelled to Japan at The Osaka International Exhibition & at The First Orchid Design Exhibition in SG.I had spent many meaningful years as a lecturer at Lasalle SIA College of The Arts, Raffles Design Institute & at The NUS Arts&Culture Department. Textiles took me across SE Asia to Japan, Laos & Indonesia. I enjoy teaching dressmaking & crafts to children. My biggest reward is in seeing my costumes on all the fine thespians for Carina's marvellous productions since 2003. Besides costume productions, I enjoy mentoring children with creative skills in old crafts, bead work, needlework, sewing, doll making & brush painting. It is through history &different cultures of the world that values of tolerance can be inculcated; bringing about a harmonious world view with greater acceptance of others' differences.
