| Introduction | I love the sound of a sewing machine! My mother taught me to sew on her Singer when I was 10. I designed and made my clothes until I went to University. I got my graduate degree in Exercise Physiology. I retired from corporate life to be a stay at home mom. We have a daughter (23) and a son (21). We have been transferred every 3-4yrs with my husband's company, so quilting became the common thread to connect me from place to place. In addition to the many places we were transferred to in the U.S., we also lived in The Netherlands for 2 yrs. and the U.K. for 3 yrs. Now that we are back in the U.S., I have been able to dedicate time and energy to quilting. Although I began as a traditional quilter, I am now learning to express my ideas/designs through quilting art. |
