Introduction	I'm glad you're here, experiencing my writing. Exposing my words makes me vulnerable which makes me nervous and excited. It sharpens my senses, touches my soul, increases my awareness of who I am and the meaning of connectedness. Connectedness is something I have yearned for my entire life. It's what makes me tick, laugh, cry and well, live. My writing connects me to others and myself. It pierces the core of my being. I don't follow many rules in writing other than connecting my heart and experiences (mine and others) on paper. Poetry to me, is an expression of what I cannot articulate in conversation. There's no right or wrong, just a sense of being. Full acceptance of what is going on with me NOW. Just be. Cathy Gruman
Interests	Spending time with my kids, grandkids, friends, walking, hiking, swimming, reading, culture.
Favorite Movies	Pretty in Pink, The Hours, Scream, The Way We Were, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Wait Until Dark, Lars and the Real Girl, Secret Window, anything by Johnny Depp or Audrey Hepburn.
Favorite Music	All kinds of stuff.
Favorite Books	Ragamuffin Gospel, Blue Like Jazz, Ignore Everyone (and 39 Other Ideas for Creativity), The Sun Also Rises, Ask the Dirt.
