| Introduction | I am a retired officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service cadre. I joined the Indian Railways in 1984 batch of the Indian Civil Services. After 20 years of service with the Indian Railways, I opted for voluntary retirement in 2005. I have travelled to the following 49 countries so far : Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland ( 2010), Nepal (2011) Thailand ( 2013) China (2014) United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Vatican (2014) Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia (2014) Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and the USA, (2014), Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia , ( 2015) Egypt and Turkey ( 2015), Sri Lanka, U.S.A, Canada, Kenya, Australia, New Zealand ( 2016) 2017-USA & CANADA 2018- Japan 2019- Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Taiwan, South Korea, Philippines, Mauritius, Seychelles, Reunion , Madagascar( till December 2019) I have pleasant memories of each and every country that I have visited. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder! I always keep in mind an old saying in my mother tongue, Telugu “If you are polite in your speech, the town that you visit will also be good to you” . |
