Introduction | I have been studying for the priesthood with the Society of Jesus, a Roman Catholic religious order also known as the Jesuits, since 8/14/05. I pronounced perpetual vows (poverty, chastity, obedience) on 8/15/07, feast of the Assumption. For Jesuits, the course of studies before ordination lasts 10-12 years. Prior to entering religious life, I worked for two years as a newspaper reporter. I graduated in 2003 from all-male Wabash College, where I read history and political science. |
Interests | I like to read, write, play basketball and play the trombone. |
Favorite Movies | Slapstick, documentary, historical drama, foreign films, musicals, Hitchcock |
Favorite Music | Jazz, blues, folk, country, classical |
Favorite Books | Two religious favorites are "Poverty of Spirit" by Johannes Metz, SJ, and the "Imitation of Christ." I also like mystery novels, historical stuff, art books, non-fiction. |
In the dream where you show up to school naked, why do you never go swimming?
Because I can't swim.
