| Introduction | Blu Saphir Recordings was created in 2004 on the grounds of improving and expanding the variety of sounds that liquid funk has to offer. Jay Rome got in contact with Muffler, Kaleb and Contour back in 2003. He loved their music and decided to work with them on a new label to release proper music,” the label owner comments. “Twintone and I had completed a tune entitled “I Try” which had such good feedback that Muffler decided to do a remix. We had these tunes ready for the label, so we started Blu Saphir Recordings to release it.” Blu Saphir will continue to push on a new sound of liquid funk to the masses. The labelowner definitely see this style in a good position for the future because liquid funk is still representing timeless music. Make sure to check out the label site Blu Saphir Website |
| Interests | Engulfed by music since he was a young child, DJ Rome immediately began learning various types of instruments including guitar, drums and piano. But the times took a drastic turn upon the discovery of drum 'n bass as he made his way through school in 1995. After meeting schoolmate, DJ Mark-E, DJ Rome began to experiment with production techniques while being guided by his mentor. Always gaining new contacts while DJing from place to place, DJ Rome got in touch with Twintone after hearing his praises from a local DJ, Thomas L. The two immediately got to work on I Try, which would later become the AA side to the first release on his label, Blu Saphir Recordings. DJ-Rome played in USA, France, Germany, Holland, Slowakia, Czech Rep, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Austria, Romania, Macedonia, Croatia, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Cyprus and Greece. In 2007 he teamed up with Labelowner/Producer & DJ Mad Vibes from Frankfurt/Germany and produced several track which has been released on "The Collabo EP" on Sidechain Music feat. the artists Stunna & Mechanic. Especially "Pretty Girls" had a good support on BBC 1Xtra. |
