Introduction I simply love to sew and have been since I was 10 year ago. I've been blogging for almost a decade. Now, that I am retired from working in IT/Research Administration, I hope to spend more time sewing and sharing my adventure with the sewing community.
Interests I love to sew!! It is my number one hobby. Correction..., it is my therapist. My pattern collection is over the top and I have way too much fabric in my closets. I love, love reading, talking, and thinking about sewing. Some of my other interests include crocheting, cooking, art, and travel. My daughter took an online quiz at quizzilla.com that described me as Martha Stewart. I love Martha Stewart; wink. wink.
Favorite Movies There are too many to number! Just a few (chuckle, chuckle): Steel Magnolias, Hope Floats, Something New, Aliens Trilogy, Star Wars Trilogy, Interview with a Vampire, The Sound of Music, Pulp Fiction, Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Valley of the Dolls, The African Queen, Dracula (30's version), X-Men trilogy, Mahogany, Crash, Hotel Rwanda, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, The Devil Wears Prada, and Passion of the Christ. Let's face it; I love movies.
Favorite Music I enjoy all genres except heavy metal and hard rock.
Favorite Books The Scarlet Letter, Roll of Thunder Here My Cry, Pride and Prejudice, The Outsiders, Tales of Two Cities, The Autobiography of Malcolm X by Alex Haley; The Bluest Eyes by Toni Morrison; Self Help Books: Acts of Kindness by Meladee and Hanoch McCarty; Trading Your Worry for Wonder by Cheri Fuller; Lessons in Living by Susan Taylor; and Acts of Faith and The Value in the Valley by Iyanla Vanzant.
