| Introduction | Cars: Dorri's love affair with the automobile started when he was about 12 years old. His father would let him drive his 1983 Mercury Capri from the driveway to the backyard to wash it. That car got washed often. That car was given to him when he turned 16, although he had been driving it pretty regularly for several months by that time. Dorri has since owned over 30 cars, his all-time favorite of which was a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. He currently drives a 1992 Corvette ZR-1. Professional: Dorri spent ten years in the US Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate. He served on USS Alaska from 1996 to 2000. He was an instructor for the Navy in Ballston Spa, NY from 2000 to 2004 during which time he earned a degree in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He currently works for Duke Power at Oconee Nuclear Station in Seneca, SC. Miscellaneous: Dorri doesn't like it when people refer to themselves in the third person. |
