| Introduction | Hi, I am Susan. I have been teaching 20 amazing years, all in the upper grades. I love teaching and am blessed to say it is more than a job to me! My classroom is a 1:1 iPad .adventure. We use them daily for everything from reading non-fiction news items, blogging, writing assignments, creating Keynote and iMovie presentations, using Educreations for math, and oh so much more. I am a Southern girl at heart from the great state of Tennessee! I live in Southern California with my husband, who is also a teacher, our pets, and our children and grandchild who entertains us. |

| Favorite music | Born and raised in the South, Country music is in my blood, especially with a distant relative in June Carter Cash. While I love my country, I also enjoy pop, rock n roll, and classical. |
| Favorite books | JD Robb is my all-time favorite author. Nora is sooooo talented. So any of her books I really enjoy. The Little Prince is one of my favorites as well along with the DaVinci Code, Secret Life of Bees, and tons of children books. |
Why do you think honeydew is the money melon?
Oh man, if honeydew is the money melon that answers the reason I work! I don't particularly like melon! I would say honeydew is the money melon because it is pretty easy to grow, needs very little care, but is plentiful when it is harvested resulting in money for its owners!! Not to mention the lime green color is in the color of money family!!
