| Introduction | Matt has always been captivated with the true art of songwriting and performing original pieces and from the early days of his musical career, he worked hard to steer clear of using covers in his live shows. Within several years of pursuing his music career, his love of performing took a backseat when he joined the Army. While on a tour in Iraq, he ordered a guitar online and began piecing together ideas for new material, including a tongue-in-cheek tune about how all he wanted was a cheeseburger, pizza, and beer. Upon returning to the states, Matt embarked on a whirlwind adventure when; after posting an ad on Craigslist, he received a call from Jack Ingram’s tour manager to join them on the road helping his stage crew. One of the stops along the way included his current hometown, Euless, TX. From his first visit to the Lone Star State he found himself immediately hooked on the culture and genuine southern hospitality and knew this was where he would call home.
