| Introduction | I cannot claim to have led either a particularly easy, nor horribly tough life. I live in America after all which is easier than living in 90% of the rest of the world. Through my travels I have seen things in my life that make me glad that I could return home here in the States. However I have also witnessed many things in other parts of the world that make me honestly question whether America is "the greatest nation on earth." That is purely subjective and I will not take sides. That is for you and your soul to come to grips with. All I can say is that if you have never traveled outside the US, you are not entitled to make that call until you do. Get out - see the world - it's an amazingly wonderful, diverse, beautiful and terrifying place - you owe it to yourself to grow into the world around you. Only then can you clearly see your own time and place with your eyes fresh and ears wide open! |
