| Introduction | I'm a professor in the Department of Computer Science at Cornell University, and I work in distributed computing. This rather technical blog started when I went on sabbatical in 2016, and I've continued to post to it when I run into really interesting research-related questions. I've tried to avoid the kind of blog that has relevance primarily to today's news events or other fleeting things.... One can't be "timeless" in technology, but hopefully even the older postings still will be of interest to new readers. |
