| Introduction | For 23 years research and information manager at CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) (retired March 2012). Grew up in Gourock and then Weymouth (where my first introduction to beer was Devenish and Eldridge Pope). Spent 7 years in Bradford completing a degree in Materials Science and then three years post graduate research and also discovering the joys of curries, Tetleys Bitter and Websters. Moved to Bristol to work for the Institute of Physic Publishing Division and wall to wall Courage beer - until the microbrewery revolution of the mid 70s brought relief by way of Butcombe, Mendip, and Smiles. Then moved to St Albans in 1989 where I have been ever since. |
| Interests | UK Beer particularly real ale, pubs, beer in other European countries especially Belgium, The Nordic countries, The USA and Canada, any country where they brew beer. |
