Introduction	I taught in the public school system for 30 years. I loved the students, but hated the politics, meetings, documentation, report writing, evenings and weekends spent working. Teaching is undervalued, underpaid and completely misunderstood by the general public. It is extremely stressful, time consuming and life consuming. If you are considering a career as an educator, DON"T.
