| Introduction | My name is Jodie Wells and I love painting. My paintings are mostly done impasto style... thick, lustrous, and wonderfully messy. I spread the oil paint onto the canvas with a palette knife which give the paintings a 3D quality. On close inspection my paintings appear abstract, containing many different colours, but when viewed from a distance, the eye naturally blends those colours and a recognisable image forms.
