| Introduction | I was a week from 40 as I set up this blog. It was to be my diary as I attempted to chart my way though my first year of my forties, hopefully achieving some new personal ambitions. Then life got in the way. The week I set the blog up my husband became ill with a brain tumour and suddenly things like learning the piano and growing my garden didn't seem so important anymore. I have taken up the blog 4 busy stressy difficult years later. Now, with two businesses, a husband, two small children and a Kerry Blue Terrier, life is livelier and certainly trickier.
