| Introduction | I'm a lover of all things home - finches feeding outside my window, the smell of Downey, wide open windows and a wash of sunlight across white cotton sheets. Springtime finds me knee deep in damp earth with dirty fingernails and the smell of honeysuckle on my old clothes. Summer slows me to a sleepy hammock nap under the shade tree with flowers in all my old jars and chipped vases. As autumn burnishes leaves and grasses to colors richer than a paintbrush can master, I am both lost in the transformation and busily preparing my little home with warm quilts and the promise of long candlelit evenings. Winter finds me by the fire with soup and warm bread drawing me back and back to the kitchen for just a little more. I'm not ashamed to say I love cats and horses and the loud squawk of geese circling the pond - and there's no place I'd rather be than home. |
| Interests | Nature makes my heart sing, and I believe every day is made of miracles. I look for heaven in the breath of babies and the stillness of almost dawn. I love all things that make my spirit leap to the surface and my senses vibrate and tingle. Poetry speaks to me in tender awestruck words and leads me to the place of raw truth in myself. I've already said I love home, and I love helping others find that special place where they feel real and open. My hope is to maybe, someday, find the little spot inside my soul where home is always waiting to hold me safe. |
