| Introduction | By day, I am a doctoral student in archaeology, specializing in the stone technology of hunter-gatherer populations in eastern North America at the end of the last Ice Age. By night, I put on my crafty wife disguise and set academia aside in order to channel my energies into creative pursuits -- cooking, fine art, knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, photography. I feel exceptionally fortunate to have an equally crafty husband who not only puts up with my creative enterprises, but throws himself into artistic pursuits as well! We live a simple, happy life in the countryside of East Tennessee, surrounded by kids, cats, wildlife, and the woods....and piles of yarn. |
