Location Knoxville, Tennessee, United States
Introduction Hannah is a first-year graduate student studying Environmental Engineering with an emphasis on environmental microbiology and computational biology at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and Oakridge National Laboratory with Dr. Terry C. Hazen. Her goal is to develop methods of novel enzyme discovery that will improve next-generation lignocellulosic biofuels. She strives to work at the interface of computational biology, microbiology, and molecular biology, to train as an interdisciplinary scientist capable of conducting large-scale systems biology research. She also has interests in new technology such as digital PCR, bioinformatics tools, bioremediation, and microbial fuel cells.
