| Introduction | I am a writer/editor collecting women's Africentric natural hair stories. The photo of me at the top of the page was taken in Tenerife (1988); the photo of me and my granddaughter Sophie below that was taken in August 2008. The intention of my blog is to share our hair stories, particularly our journeys to natural hair styles, whether you have a natural hair style, i.e. locs, twists, braids, cornrow, afro, etc, or you are trying to transform from relaxed to natural hair. My aim is to provide an interactive dialogue of visual and written expressions to raise awareness and uplift ourselves spiritually of how positive loving our natural hair can be; of how beautiful our naturalness is. |
