Introduction | The words of Rumi, “Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you truly love,” are a guiding force to Autumn. She finds her joy in seeing the world from the beauty of a child’s perspective...whether it is through the eyes of her own two children, or any child she is privileged to care for. Through her personal studies, Autumn has built a mosaic of tools and philosophies which she finds to embrace the whole child – body, heart, and mind. She has had the honor of and teaching in Montessori, Waldorf, and traditional American early childhood classrooms. Autumn pulls elements from each of these paths to create opportunities for the imagination and spirit of each child to take flight. Her goal is to foster a sense of respect and compassion for the self and for others. Through storytelling, she seeks to enrich the child's perspective and understanding of the past, the present, and the future. She shares a reverence for nature and models an honoring of the seasons and the mirrors of change within. She believes that living a life of wonder and magic is possible in the company of our littlest ones. |
