| Introduction | I grew up in Utah and came to Los Angeles to go to art school around 1987 and stayed. I married, had a terrific son and, sadly, divorced. I love LA but miss my home state and all the family I left behind there. I get back as often as I can. Some years ago I was in therapy with my ex-husband trying to make sure we could maintain a loving relationship post-split, for my son's sake as well as our own, when I realized that my former "Mormonism" played a much larger role in my life than I had been willing to admit. I've been writing all my life but have never really known what to do with it. I've felt very inspired by a Blog called Dooce so I thought I would give it a go. I'm not here to bash the Church, just to take a serious look at the part it played in my life. Maybe someone will find all this amusing. I know my fiance does. I'll write about other stuff too. I swear. |
