Introduction | I was born and raised in a small community outside Charlotte, North Carolina, I graduated from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, NC in 1966. After a brief stint as a teacher in Pennsylvania, I enlisted in the Army OCS program and was commissioned in 1968. My overseas assignment was S. Korea, Following my discharge in 1970, I entered Union Theological Seminary (Va.) where I earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in 1974, and shortly thereafter I was ordained by Pines Presbytery, (PCUS). I have served churches in Arkansas, Florida, and Texas. In 2007 I resigned from my position as senior pastor of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Missouri City, Texas, and took a call to serve as an interim Associate General Presbyter in Sacramento, California. In this capacity, I resourced three presbyteries in northern California and all of Nevada in the areas of church development and re-development. In 2009, I returned to the Houston area and became the designated pastor for Heritage Presbyterian Church. I am married to Pamela Jean, and we have three children and three grandchildren, two in Texas and one in Florida. Hobbies include travel, woodworking, and tennis. |
