| Introduction | Dr. Steven Horwitz is a graduate of Cornell University and the National University of Health Sciences. He is certified as a Chiropractic Sports Physician, Active Release Techniques® practitioner, Graston Technique practitioner, Kinesio Taping Practitioner, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USA Weightlifting Club Coach, and Sports Nutritionist. He is the Maryland director for the National Strength and Conditioning Association and co-chairperson of MCPS’s Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries coach’s course. He is sports medicine expert for the Diakon Baseball Group and has authored You CAN Be Fit!, Rotator Cuff Relief, and Golf Fitness Made Easy!. Dr. Horwitz was named to the 2006 Guide to America's TOP CHIROPRACTORS and by Washingtonian magazine as one of the area's top sports medicine doctors. He was selected by the US Olympic Committee as the sole chiropractor on the medical staff of the 1996 US Olympic Team and was appointed by the Governor Ehrlich as chairman of the Maryland Advisory Council on Physical Fitness in 2002. An avid athlete, Dr. Horwitz is a competitive powerlifter and was the 198lb. class winner at the 2000 100% RAW World Powerlifting Championships. |
